This Bohlin Cywinski Jackson designed house required the shades to be concealed within the architecture of the house, or in essence, "disappearing" when not in use.
The other challenge was that the shades meeting in the corners needed to have a very minimal light gap.
The end result was sun protection and privacy achieved with no visible change to the architect's vision.
